Settlers from the Tapuach colony, near Nablus, entered the Palestinian village of Kfar Yassuf and threw stones breaking windows in several houses, the correspondent said.

Young Palestinians hurled stones at the settlers and the Israeli army intervened using tear gas and rubber bullets to break up the confrontation, the correspondent added.

An Israeli army official confirmed the report saying “settlers and Palestinians clashed throwing stones at each other and the army, backed by police, dispersed them using anti-riot devices.” There were no arrests.

A series of attacks on Palestinians have been reported in recent days in the West Bank after suspected Palestinian militants stabbed to death a family of five as they slept in their beds on March 11.
