When prayers are not answered it does break the heart, but a Mexico man went berserk when his alleged request for a miracle went unanswered and destroyed a shrine.
The man identified as Jorge, 38, was caught on surveillance camera of a cathedral in Guadalajara, Mexico, hurling two stones at shrine. The glass case protecting the religious artwork embroidered in a cloth was shattered in the attack.
The footage shows Jorge placing a backpack on the floor of the church next to a pillar and bending over to open his bag while a woman devotee is seen standing at the church altar and praying. Just when she turns around to leave, the man is seen walking unto the altar hurriedly and hurling two stones by after the other.
People present in the church alerted police who arrested the man and placed him in custody of the Guadalajara Public Ministry.
The destroyed shrine was covered with a tarpaulin and it is reported the damages were estimated at $130, according to Daily Mail.
