Winter camp for your little ones
Caboodle Pamper & Play is gearing up for the festive season with a bunch of fun activities for your little ones. There are special classes from arts and crafts to cookie decorating workshops, letter writing to Santa and lots of Christmas treats. The classes run from 1-25 December and comprise 'Hartbeeps' and 'Boogie Babies'. The former is an award-winning musical adventure, set to soundtracks and original songs, lullabies and nursery rhymes for ages 6 months to 3 years taking place every Thursday at 10am, 11am and 12pm. The latter offers a fun way to boost your child's brain development, increase language skills, coordination and creativity through music; also for children aged 6 months to 3 years and taking place every Tuesday at 10 and 10.30am. Additionally, every Sunday is 'Mama Meets' from 10am to 12pm, where moms can meet up for free coffee while their tots take over the play area for two hours.
K-Food Fair
If you've ever wanted the lowdown on Korean food and to expand your foodie horizons to more cuisines from the East, then you'll want to head to the first ever K-Food Fair, organised by the South Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) and the Korea Agro-Fisheries and Trade Corporation, at Zabeel Park on 27-28 November.
Those new to Korean cuisine will also have the opportunity to start their culinary journey through South Korea with numerous food and beverage choices on offer, in addition to some experiential programmes, Tae-Kwan-Do performances, cultural shows, interactive demonstrations and a chance to win prizes that make this a fun family event for all. Lovers of Arab literary legend Gibran Kahlil Gibran will be thrilled to know that the Arabic version of the theatrical stage play , inspired by the life of the late Arab writer, will be staged for three days from 10-12 December at the Masrah Al Qasba Theatre in Al Qasba, Sharjah.
Gibran Kahlil Gibran is considered a source of inspiration for millions of readers and writers around the world and the play offers a unique insight into his character and life. The play, which will be staged for the first time in the UAE in Arabic, portrays the struggle and conflict in Gibran's life in order to convey a message of love and peace, as he did in his most famous book .
The play will take place at 8.30pm on 10-12 December at the Masrah Al Qasba Theatre in Al Qasba, Sharjah. Tickets can be purchased at Dh195 (Gold) and Dh145 (Silver). Tickets are available at Al Qasba Customer Service, Platinumlist.net and Time Out Tickets.

 Kids in the drivers' seats
A new grassroots series of karting races targeted at boosting local interest in the sport of karting is kicking off at Al Ain Raceway - the Middle East's only International Karting Commission (CIK) accredited International Grade B circuit. The inaugural Students' Karting Cup will take place over four weekends in January and February next year and registration is now open to UAE-based students of all nationalities between the ages of 12-19. The competition will feature two categories: Junior for 12 to 15-year-olds and Senior for 16 to 19-year-olds.
In contrast to other regional karting programmes, the Students' Karting Cup aims to develop all aspects of young drivers' capabilities - from punctuality and adherence to safety, to natural speed and attention to rules and regulations on the circuit.
Registration for the Students' Karting Cup costs Dh1,150 per child and is open until 15 December. For their entry fees, students will receive a starter kit worth Dh900 that includes clothing and 60-minutes of assured track time. The track time includes two 15-minute 'Arrive and Drive' sessions and an 'Open Day' pass for an unlimited number of sessions (available on a first-come, first-served basis) that can be redeemed at Al Ain Raceway any time between 16 December 16 to 14 January. Dine with divas

 JBR's iconic Frankie's Italian Bar & Grill is bringing some world-class singers for a one-night-only 'Dining with Divas' event this Saturday, November 28. Fans of both classical and contemporary music will be in for a treat reminiscent of Verona and the great classical performances of Europe.
Together, the three divas - Dubai-based Sopranda, Chelle L Rey and Guzel Teymoor - will take the audience on a journey through music, touching on classic and contemporary styles in a tribute to music and all who love it. The black tie event will start at 8pm and feature a set menu created especially for the evening by Frankie's head chef Giovanni Pintore, making for an unforgettable night of Italian food and music.
