Fairytales in Dubai

Disney is making more dreams come true by bringing everyone’s all-time favourite characters from everyone’s all-time favourite movies to life — right here in Dubai.

Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Snow White are just some of the princesses who will be putting on a royal show during the Disney on Ice shows this weekend.

The lovely ladies will also be joined by Anna and Elsa from the latest animated craze Frozen, who will, no doubt, thrill your kids to no end.

The Disney extravaganza will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre Arena from June 10-13.

Tickets start from Dh150 and are available at Virgin Megastore and online at www.virginmegastore.ae. Visit www.disneyoniceme.com for more information.

Pop-up fun

There’s a new weekly market in town! Starting June 13 and open every Saturday from 10am to 8pm, the market — located at Al Barsha Mall — will feature handmade art and crafts, and other creative services by vendors of various ethnic groups. It’s being held to promote the artistry of these groups as well as being part of a call to more corporate social responsibility in the country. The market will also have a permanent pre-loved books sale that financially supports sterilisation campaigns aimed at stray animals in the city through the Animal Project.
