I have a very low pain threshold which makes waxing and eyebrow threading hurt a lot. Is there any way to alleviate the pain before waxing or threading, or any way to get rid of the pain after the procedures?

Before waxing or threading, it is important to apply some ice on your skin as this numbs the area, making the process a lot less painful. After the procedures, apply a thin film of aloe vera gel on your skin. This helps to calm and soothe the skin.

I am a 15-year-old girl with really dry and dark lips, and dark skin on my elbows and knees. I also have dandruff. I believe in your natural remedies. Can you please suggest suitable remedies for me?
  • Merlia
For your skin, mix one tablespoon of yoghurt and a teaspoon of glycerine. Add oat powder and cornflour in equal parts to the yoghurt mixture to form a smooth paste. Add a pinch of finely ground rice powder. Apply this paste on your face, lips, arms, elbows and knees. Leave it on for 10 minutes before gently scrubbing off. Do this everyday. For your dandruff, add one tablespoon of lemon juice to two tablespoons of water and massage this onto your scalp. For best results, leave overnight. Rinse your hair the next day with a mild shampoo.
I'm a 56-year-old woman with an oily, itchy scalp and hair fall. I have to wash my hair every day just to keep my scalp from getting oily. Can you recommend a home remedy to help me deal with my hair fall?

Mix one tablespoon of aloe vera gel, four drops of tea tree oil and a teaspoon of lemon juice together. Massage this onto your scalp and leave it on overnight. Rinse the next day with shampoo and avoid using a conditioner.
I am 14 years old and I recently got my eyebrows threaded. Now, I have blackheads above my eyebrows and I don't know what to do. Can you please suggest a quick remedy?

It is very important to go to a beauty salon to get your blackheads removed. As an everyday follow-up routine, try rubbing a cube of ice, infused with some lemon above your eyebrows. Allow it to dry on your skin. This will help to shrink the pores, and prevent them from opening up and causing more blackheads later.
I'm in my mid-30s and have rapidly increasing cellulite on my thighs. It looks really bad. What can I do to get rid of it? Will working out at the gym regularly to tone muscles help? Are there are any home remedies?
  • Neha
The best treatment for reducing cellulite is body brushing. Do this every day. Also, try to eat more foods that are rich in fibre and low in fat. Getting a massage, working out and taking brisk walks can also help deal with cellulite.
