It's nice getting notifications - until you start getting too many of them. Snowball is really handy because it personalises your notifications column and reveals all the important stuff, while hiding away those you don't want to get notified about. The app automatically hides information such as '5 apps have been updated' while messages from friends are displayed right at the top. Rest assured, you have full control over deciding what is important and what isn't. The app learns to take into account what you prioritise, and will display that to you, over time.

It does, however, eat up your battery, so watch out for that.

What's great about this particular one, other than the fact that your homescreen and apps are such more organised and easier to navigate through, is that its home panel changes according to time and place. So in the morning, it shows your schedule for the day, when at work, you get a look at your email and calendar. This one takes a little getting used to, but it's worth it.
