My lips look fairly black on top and red at the bottom. Please give me a remedy to clear the darkness. I hope to receive a reply soon.

Take a little sugar, add a drop of glycerine together with a drop of lemon juice; gently scrub the lips with this mixture. Rinse off and massage a drop of extra virgin coconut oil to the lips every night. Leave on overnight. The combination of these two treatments will help soften and lighten the lips.
I am writing this with regard to my five-year-old daughter. She has a very dry, itchy and flaky scalp. She is not picky, and eats almost everything. Her skin is also very dry. I oil and shampoo her hair twice a week. Please suggest a remedy.

Massage freshly squeezed coconut milk into the scalp and leave on for at least 30 minutes every other day. This will keep the scalp moisturised; the itchiness will also disappear.
I have a lot of dandruff. Please give me a remedy.

Massage yoghurt onto the scalp and wash off after 15 minutes. Do this three times a week and you will see good results.
I am an 18-year-old girl with naturally curly hair. I read that silicone-free shampoos are good for the hair. Can you please suggest a shampoo that is good for curly hair? I have been regularly using castor and almond oil, but my hair has been falling a lot over the last few months and is now very thin. I try to drink as much water as possible. Can you suggest another oil?

Hair fall is a reflection of multiple factors, including poor diet and health, unmanaged stress levels and improper hair care. I personally feel local application aloe vera as well as internal consumption will cleanse and calm the body. Massage aloe vera gel thrice a week into the scalp - this will keep the scalp healthy. A diet with fresh green vegetables, fruits and nuts can also help with your hair issues. Remember, everything you eat affects your health and body.

I am a 14-year-old boy suffering from pimples on my face. I also have a lot of white hair. I've tried many things but to no avail. Please help.

Thank you for writing in. Pimples are normal at your age, but can be corrected if you maintain a healthy diet and water intake. Avoid chicken and eggs, and get your protein from fish or a few nuts; avoid carbonated drinks too. Add oats, cereals, fresh green vegetables and fruits to your meals. Cleanse skin often with clean water and avoid hot showers and spicy foods. You may apply a mask of tomato pulp or tamarind pulp to the pimples too.
