Thankfully, there's power in your smartphones, and they will help you not to make any dumb fashion choices. Check out some of our picks to get the best out of the burgeoning market, from planning your look to buying that next pair of shoes.
Mr Porter
Luxury retailer Mr Porter's awesome app is the ultimate catalogue for menswear. There are over 200 high-end brands to choose from, including the likes of Burberry, Balmain, Paul Smith and Richard James, with high-def pictures to help you can find exactly what you're looking for. The app automatically syncs your shopping basket and wish lists to your Mr Porter account, and even allows you to add items to your wish list while offline. Happy wardrobe shopping!
Valet Mag
Any guy who is serious about his fashion sense will know of Valet magazine. Their content on style, grooming and culture for the 21st-century gentleman is quite unbeatable. Their dedicated iPad app is just as good as the magazine and offers the same superb content on men's fashion, with things like up-to-the-minute fashion news, video style guides, how-to advice and trend reports, all updated daily.
Cool Guy
This is a wardrobe planner and shopping assistant both rolled into one. It will work with your existing wardrobe - simply take pics of clothes you already own and Cool Guy will give you new combinations - and will also help you make your next wardrobe purchases, from the aptly titled 'Inspiration' section.
Gilt
The one thing that Gilt is absolutely great for is accessory shopping. There are tons of cool designer statement pieces that lend loads of style to a basic chino and oxford combo, and you'll even find those lovely paisley printed ties for a bit of pizzazz. The app is organised by brand, so you can find stuff pretty easily. There are also little style tidbits like how to wear your shiny new loafers casually.
ShopStyle
Pretty much every clothing or accessory you love or are looking for is right here, be it shoes or even that cool briefcase you've been meaning to buy for yourself. ShopStyle has millions of products from hundreds of brands and retailers, so you can compare prices and get the best deal, every time!
