It’s that time of the year.

No, the countdown of yet another calendar year — and with it that mad pressure to commit to New Year resolutions — has not yet begun. We’re talking about another significant marker on the city’s calendar right now — the Dubai Fitness Challenge.

It’s that time of the year when brands seem to be out to one-up each other in how creatively they can get people to join the active lifestyle campaign. And in the spirit of inspiration, Reebok MENA x Les Mills Middle East have now announced a challenge that’s too tempting to pass up on. The two fitness brands are on the lookout for the next 30x30 athlete — and are offering women across the city the chance to win Dh30,000 while they’re at it.

Dubbed #FindHerFitness, the competition will require participants to sign up for the Dubai 30x30 Challenge, follow the brands on social media, join the Les Mills online or on-ground classes, and document their fitness journey throughout the month on Instagram, using relevant tags.

The winner who documents the most inspirational fitness journey will win the big prize money — as well as become an official Reebok Ambassador. What’s more, she will also be awarded a two-month course to become a certified trainer, courtesy fitness provider Les Mills.

Two runner-up winners will be awarded store credit worth Dh1,000-2,000, courtesy Reebok.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge was started by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, with the goal to make Dubai one of the fittest cities in the world.

Clearly, the month of fitness activations is off to a running start. The question is: are you ready to get your game face on?
