We do not want to bore you with how adding a bit of green, natural light and fresh air is great for work productivity, but it sure does add a lot of value in general and gives a whole new experience of working from home. Plants are perfect accent pieces. Pair up a plant with the right pot and see how your space transforms.

Here are some simple tips to green up your space and enjoy WFHing.

Balcony space: Well, the options are unlimited! Who doesn’t love working with a nice view, fresh air, more plants and, of course, our pets, who love outdoor spaces too. Some furniture and plants are all you need to transform your balcony into your cozy little office.

Cane and bamboo work great as balcony furniture. It is easy to buy ready furniture, yet very important to carefully choose the right fit to your existing balcony. While on one hand, it is almost difficult to change the entire floor, it’s that simple to create the whole garden ambience by adding artificial turf/grass on top of your existing flooring. This will help you change the whole look and feel of the space. Add outdoor plants such as aloe vera, bougainvillea, or your very own herb garden.

Working desk: Selecting the right working desk and study chair has an impact on your work productivity, so you want to make sure you get it right the first time. Cane and rattan are growing as a major trend. They contribute towards adding the earthy and natural touch to the whole space.

Floating shelf: Have a floating shelf above you to keep all your work items? Move some of the unwanted things aside to add trailing plants. You can have the string of beads or the golden photos left hanging or, if adventurous, train it along a wire and around your desk.

Floor plant: If you are looking for something more dramatic for your corner, then a large floor plant works the best. A lush monstera plant in a standing planter on its own will make the space look complete. Minimal yet effective.

Hanging plants: The options are endless with hanging plants. There are large varieties of ceramic or cement hanging planters that you can choose from to go well with your colour palette. Terrariums and Bonsai are perfect for adding an artistic touch to your busy weekday. You can either keep them by your side or have them hanging.

Plain wall: Have a plain wall that you face while working? You can easily transform the boring into something interesting by adding floral and botanical wallpaper as per your choice.
