I'm a 22-year-old woman with a dark upper lip due to years of threading. Could you please suggest an easy remedy for me to lighten the skin there? Does rubbing a slice of tomato everyday help? Also, is there any way I can reduce the hair growth on my face?

Soft hair that hasn't been tampered with can be easily cleared with home remedies like egg whites mixed with corn flour. Make a sticky paste using these two ingredients and apply it on your upper lip. Another mask you can try that will help lighten and lift facial hair is a mixture of one teaspoon powdered oats and coconut powder each, and enough boiling water to make a thick, sticky paste. Apply this on dry skin, rubbing against the hair growth. When dry, lightly dampen your fingers and gently scrub it off.
I am a 16-year-old girl with dark skin around my lips. Please suggest a quick and effective solution.

Both papaya and banana have soothing and skin lightening properties. Rub either on your upper lip and rinse after 30 minutes. Do this every day for best results.
My 17-year-old son's skin becomes oily when he goes out, but indoors, his skin is normal. He also had a bout of pimples and acne recently. Could you please suggest a home remedy for him? I have tried honey and cinnamon, which you suggested a while ago, but it doesn't seem to work on his skin.

Skin type differs from person to person, and some treatments work for some and not for others. For your son's skin, mix one tablespoon of tomato juice with an equal amount of lime juice. Dip some cotton wool in this solution and apply it to his skin. Allow it to dry and reapply. Repeat this 3-4 times. Allow this mask to dry for 30 minutes before rinsing with cold water. Never use hot water on the skin as it activates the oils, leading to acne and oily skin, and when exposed to pollution, the acne will get worse.
I am a 12-year-old girl and would like to know of a natural way to remove hair from my arms and legs. I have tried the oatmeal and honey remedy, which worked, but didn't get rid of the hair completely. I also have some scars on my face that I want to get rid of.
  • Arshia
The treatment works when there isn't much hair to begin with, and the hair is fine. I would suggest going in for waxing, as it is the best treatment to get rid of body hair. Waxing also helps to exfoliate, soften and smoothen the skin.
My 17-year-old son would like to know how he can grow a thick beard quickly. Is there a natural home remedy?

Castor oil is one of the best natural ways to improve hair growth and thickness. Take one teaspoon of castor oil and mix it with a drop of rosemary oil. Apply this every night on his face and leave it on overnight. This will help stimulate hair growth.
As a teenaged boy and a sportsperson, I'm out in the sun for at least 2-4 hours every day. This has tanned my skin, in spite of using sunscreen regularly. Please give me an effective remedy.

Take one tablespoon of coconut milk, a teaspoon of honey and enough corn or oats powder to make a thick paste. When you come home, wash your face thoroughly and apply this mask on your skin. When dry, scrub off and rinse by splashing some cold water on your skin. Do this every day.
