According to a spokesman of the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), the country’s mainland will witness normal weather conditions during the next 24 hours. However, the centre in a statement said parts of the country will experience sandstorms and warned motorists to be cautious as there are chances of poor visibility.
The statement further added: “The instability of the weather will continue during the day with a chance of towering clouds associated with rain leading to thunderstorm sometimes, especially on the islands and the northern and eastern areas and islands.
“It will also be accompanied with moderate to strong winds and rising dust leading to low visibility and rough sea.” The official from NCMS further told Khaleej Times that most of the sea between Qatar and the UAE’s Ras Al Khaimah are already covered with the convective clouds with temperatures in most of the northern parts of the country and coastlines dropping to provide a pleasant weather that will continue for the next 24 hours.
According to reports reaching from Al Ain and Western Region of the country, the weather was usual on Tuesday.
“We witnessed strong winds and a moderate sandstorm for a while yesterday. Today, the weather is fine though with stronger winds than normal,” said Jamshed Bukhsh from Abu Al Abbyadh in the Western Region. Malik Wahid from Al Ain also said the weather was fine on Tuesday with skies cleared and no strong winds. “On Monday, there was a brief sandstorm, but not very strong. Today, the weather is fine and the temperature is also down,” he said.
