UAE weather: Rain, strong winds and rough seas this weekend

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said overcast skies could lead to scattered rainfall especially over island and coastal areas of the country over the weekend.
The NCMS also warned that the sea will be rough to very rough by Friday night over the Arabian Gulf offshore areas and slight to moderate in Oman sea. Beachgoers are advised to be cautious while swimming in the various beaches in the region.
From Thursday afternoon, forecasters predict a chance of connective clouds formation in the coastal and northern areas, which could bring rain to those areas. The cloudy weather will likely continue until Saturday with fall of temperatures. Forecasters said temperatures are expected to drop significantly over the weekend.

 
Meanwhile, slight to moderate wind will blow from eastern to north-eastern direction. The wind could be accompanied with dust blowing over open areas at speed of 12-25 km/hr reaching up to 38 km/hr over the sea, the statement said.
The forecast for today is partly cloudy in general, clouds amount will increase at times over island and the sea, the NCMS said.
The highest temperature recorded over the country on Tuesday was 33.3°C  Al Shawamekh at 2:30pm, while the lowest temperature recorded was 9.9°C in Jabel Jais at 6:45am.
 
Maximum temperatures will surge to 33°C inland, with lows of 16°C expected in the mountains. Humidity levels could be as high as 85 per cent in the coastal areas.

Light to moderate winds in general. The temperature will be mild during daytime and cold during night.  The waves in the Arabian Gulf will be moderate, and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
