Student injured after falling from Fujairah school building

A 16-year-old Emirati student of Grade 11 sustained serious injuries after falling from the second floor of a government school building. The boy was rushed by ambulance to Khorfakkan Hospital and admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU) where he is receiving urgent treatment and medical care.
A source from Al Fujariah Education Zone said the accident occurred during the daytime at Saif Bin Hamad Al Sharqi High School. The student - identified is SAH - fell from the second floor when he lost balance. The incident happened after the fifth period. 
A source at Khorfakkan Hospital said the student's health is improving and he has started communicating with his parents and medical staff.
The Al Fujariah Education Zone has started an investigation into the case to ascertain the cause of the accident and to ensure safety of the students.
