The Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, has held a meeting under an initiative named "Happy City Partners Council", bringing together a host of strategic and key partners. The event reviewed the outcomes of partnerships and joint projects undertaken with partners, and examined their needs with regards to the RTA's strategic plan, along with anticipated future challenges and how to cope with them.
"The gathering began with a presentation examining the compatibility of RTA plans with the Dubai Plan 2021, and focused on aligning RTA's eight strategic goals with the objectives of the plan," said Nasir Abu Shehab, Acting CEO of Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector, RTA.
"It also spotlighted RTA's Strategic Plan 2014 - 2018, and the directives relating to Plan 2016 - 2020.
The event sought to identify the needs of partners in a bid to realise joint objectives at high-class standards.
It also screened landmark results made between 2006 and 2015 in terms of improving the quality of road networks, developing creative solutions, increasing public transport ridership, and enhancing the smart city initiative, among others," Abu Shehab concluded.
