More than 300 staff would stop working for four days at terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5
Police said they received a call at the operation room early morning about the incident, following which a team comprising traffic police officials, ambulance and a rescue unit were rushed to the site. They found that the worker had already passed away.
Police said that the body of the deceased has been shifted to Kuwait Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The initial investigation revealed that the worker and his colleague were trying to transport a broken down car to a workshop in industrial area no. 12 when one of them tied a rope at the front end of the car to haul it over the recovery vehicle. The rope broke in the process, causing a part of the crane to fall on him.
