A Jordanian artist and his six children have expressed their gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, in an innovative and unique way. They have created a massive sand sculpture which reads: 'Thank You Mohamed bin Zayed'.
"It took me and my kids about six hours to make it on one of the RAK beaches on Friday," Omar Maghrabi, a sculptor based in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah said. They started working on the creation at 6am and completed it by 1pm.
He added that the 3D words were carefully etched out on a total area of 200 meters. "The 'Thank You Mohamed bin Zayed' is 40-meter long and five-meter high."
"I had first designed and planed the artwork and then turned it into a sculpture with the help of my kids."
To show how grand the sculpture is, the artist has placed two four-wheel drive cars next to it. "The big cars appear very small next to the engraved words," he pointed out.
Maghrabi said this was the least they could have done to show their love and respect for the UAE's prudent leadership.
"The UAE leaders, particularly His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, have wisely led the country and weathered all global crises."
