Quran teachers trained on innovative techniques

 The Dar Al Ber Society, in a bid to develop employees' performance, has launched a programme to train 35 staff Quran teachers and supervisors on innovative educational techniques.
The 8th 'Divine Teacher' project has been run by the department of Al Ber Quran Memorisation project - female section, at Al Mamzar Quran Study Centre under the theme: 'You're Creative', according to a senior official.
Moza Naseeb, general supervisor of Quran study centres for girls, said the first lecture in the programme: 'Basics of Sunnah followers' was delivered by renowned scholar Sheikh Khalid Al Anbari, followed by other presentations on innovation.
"Staff Quran supervisors Wadha Jamaan and Moza Al Halayan talked about the concept of innovation, its importance, pillars in Islam and traits of an innovative person."
They also explained brain storming, Scamper technique, Kaizen management technique and gave excerpts on innovation, and run several workshops for training participants who later went on a trip to Al Mamzar Park, she added.
"The Basmat Zayed voluntary team of the Nad Al Hamar Quran Study Centre then organised a visit to the 'Teachers City' which features a number of corners that each help Quran teachers for innovation."
These corners include sections for the 'Creative Teacher', 'Health is Happiness', 'Electronics', and 'Photography Basics', Naseeb explained. "All participants have been urged to make use of all the innovative education techniques learnt."
The scheme, held in collaboration with the cultural section of the woman affairs department of Dar Al Ber Society, Al Barsha branch, was supervised by Aisha Mubarak, deputy general coordinator of the memorisation project.
