The General Department of Traffic of the Dubai Police issued 5,790 traffic violations and violated 281 cars during the months that Global Village was open to the public.
Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic, praised the police traffic teams who organized the flow of traffic at Global Village during the 2015-2016 season. He noted that the plan implemented by police led to positive results and was met with satisfaction by the unprecedented number of visitors of Global Village this year.
Al Mazroui added that police investigated 218 minor traffic accidents, confiscated five motorcycles and participated in five events at Global Village.
He said that traffic police organized traffic movements in internal and external roads and also transferred vehicle traffic to other roads to prevent traffic jams and the accumulation of cars.

Police, he noted, treated people with dignity and respect while at the same time imposing strict action against violators, such as those that were overtaking, not staying in their lanes, not paying attention and driving recklessly.
