The Ras Al Khaimah Police has announced that the NYE fireworks viewing platforms on Al Marjan Island in Al Hamra have been closed for members of the public.
The police has advised members of the public not crowd areas to watch the fireworks and to watch the spectacle live on social media channels.
A 10-minute fireworks show over a 4km stretch will light up Ras Al Khaimah as it rings in the new year. Fireworks in various shapes and themes will rise above the sea near Al Marjan Island. Hotels in Al Hamra Village and Al Marjan Island will feature dedicated viewing areas.
