No-horns campaign in Ajman residential areas
Brochures have been distributed to taxi drivers and they have been warned against creating disturbances in residential areas.

The patrol and traffic department in Ajman has launched a campaign against taxi drivers using sound alerts in residential areas. The campaign will first educate them to avoid using the horn in residential areas. At a later stage, a fine of Dh200 will be issued on those using sound alerts in residential areas.
Brochures have been distributed to taxi drivers and they have been warned against creating disturbances in residential areas. According to the traffic department, many people complained about honking by taxi drivers while waiting for passengers.
Lt. Abdul Rahman Al Kabbi, member of the supreme committee of traffic safety said horns must be used only during emergencies.
