Man sneaks into women's washroom in Dubai, accused of molestation

Dubai - He watched a Filipino lady without her prior knowledge from over the door of the nearby cabin

A man was accused of molestation after he sneaked into the women's washroom and peeked on a woman from over the door, Dubai court was told on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old Jordanian computer salesman admitted to the Court of First Instance that he hid in the women's washroom, where he watched a Filipino lady without her prior knowledge from over the door of the nearby cabin.
The 33-year-old Filipino victim told prosecutors that after using the bathroom, located in her workplace at a Dubai tower, a nearby witness told her that she saw the suspect peeking over her while she used the washroom.
"I looked below the door, and saw him. I asked him to come out but he didn't. So I waited for 10 minutes until he was out and he claimed that he came in by mistake without knowing it's the women's bathroom," the Filipino secretary told prosecutors.
She said that CCTV cameras, however, showed that he entered the women's bathroom 10 minutes after using the men's bathroom.
The ruling of the case will be on August 2.
