PSG had more possession throughout Wednesday's game but could not take their chances
According to sources at the Dubai Police, the police operation room recently received information about an incident in a labour camp. A police team rushed to the site and found the 29-year-old victim seriously injured. He was rushed to the Rashid Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The 23-year-old Indian suspect, who was detained by other workers, was arrested and the police recovered the knife used for the crime from the scene.
A Pakistani supervisor at the accommodation told the police that around 8.30pm, he saw the suspect and the victim fighting in the corridor. Then the suspect was seen running with his clothes covered with the blood of the victim. "The attacker then jumped off the first floor of the labour accommodation. But he got stuck on an electric wire and then fell on the ground," he added.
F.A., who was in charge of the labour accommodation, said that he heard some one screaming in the corridor. He saw the victim and the suspect fighting and then the victim fell down on the ground. He was bleeding heavily. He said that the victim was stabbed many times in the left side of the body and on his back.
Meanwhile other workers came out from the labour accommodation and detained the suspect, who suffered injuries during the fall.
According to the sources, the suspect said during police interrogation that they fought each other after an argument about who will cook first in the kitchen.
Both the suspect and the victim were friends and they had a quarrel two months ago while they were drunk. From then, they stopped talking each other.
"On the day of the incident, both of them were in the kitchen when the dispute started. The heated argument grew into a fight and later when the victim returned from the washroom, the suspect started attacking him again. The victim took a knife from his pocket and stabbed the suspect in the finger. He snatched the knife from the victim and stabbed him," the sources said. The suspect was planning to leave the UAE on the same day as he had resigned his job.
