According to Emarat Al Youm, the man was arrested red-handed while trying to sell hashish to an undercover agent from the Dubai police. The woman confessed to cooperating with her fiancée, a hairdresser, as she smuggled the drugs into the country. She said the man promised to marry her and provide her a job.
The court has also sentenced the trio to two years' imprisonment for using drugs.
A police witness said the General Directorate of Anti-Narcotic received a tipoff about a hairdresser who is attempting to sell drugs in Muraqqabat area.
