Dubai - The Roads and Transport Authority has announced the working timings for delivering various services during the New Hijri Year's holiday.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the working hours for various services during the New Hijri Year’s holiday on Thursday (October 15), covering paid parking, vehicle testing and registration centres.
Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication, RTA Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, said: “All parking areas in Dubai will be free of charge during the New Hijri Year’s holiday (1st of Muharram 1437H).”
However, there will be no change in the timetables of public transportation.
Al Marri said: “Parking will not be free at the Fish Market parking lot and the multi-level parking terminals, applying 24-hour daily tariff.”
The fee system will be reactivated on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, has announced that schools will remain closed on October 15.

Meanwhile, the Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi announced that Mawaqif services in all surface public parking bays will be free of charge on Thursday, October 15, 2015.
Parking services will be free from Midnight (12:00am) Thursday, October 15th to 07:59am Saturday, 17th October 2015. The DoT recommends that all drivers should avoid parking their vehicles in prohibited areas at anytime including residents’ bays from 9 pm to 8 am.
Mawaqif Customer Care Centre branches in Electra, Muroor Road, Al Falah Street, the Central Market, ADCCI, ADCP, and Etisalat will remain closed on Thursday, October 15 and will resume work on Saturday, October 17. DoT Customer Care Centre at the DoT’s headquarters will remain closed on Thursday, October 15 and will resume work on Sunday, October 18, 2015.
