Firefighters in Ras Al Khaimah put out a fire that erupted in a school bus at the Azan area. The bus was empty when the incident took place.
The central operations room of Ras Al Khaimah Police was alerted of the inferno, following which traffic patrols, ambulances, paramedics, rescue teams and firefighters were dispatched to the site.
"There were no students on the bus when it caught fire for no reason at the Azan school at the end of the school day." All the female students were already transported home before the accident and fire, sources told Khaleej Times.

"The Ras Al Khaimah firefighters cordoned off the entire area to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby properties." Water and foam were used in putting out the fire and cooling down the burnt school bus, they disclosed.
Informed sources with the ministry of education said the bus caught fire after the end of the school day. "Everything was contained and put under control by the Ras Al Khaimah firefighters."
