A fire which broke out Sunday morning in an apartment in Barsha was put out in a little over two hours.
At 9.35am, the Dubai Civil Defence Operations Room received a notification stating that a fire had broken out in a building in the Al Barsha area.
The Al Barsha Fire Station was notified and 6 minutes later, at 9.41am, specialised teams arrived and found that the accident took place in an apartment. The Emirates Martyrs Centre and the Nad Al Sheba Support Centre were then mobilised.
The specialised teams began evacuating and fighting the fire and at 10.20am, according to the field commander, the cooling started.
By 11.57am, the fire was completely out and there were no injuries according to the field commander. The site of the accident was handed over to the relevant authorities.
