Video: Mother greets daughter after month-long separation with 'foot shake'

In the video, the mother can be seen stretching out her arms for an embrace, but then stops herself.

This is the moment a British student is reunited with her mother in the UAE after being stranded in Britain for over a month. Though the duo wants to hug each other after weeks of separation, they make do with a 'foot shake'. 
In a video released by state news agency Wam, the 19-year-old student, Eilidh Ashton, can be seen greeting her mother with the foot shake at the Abu Dhabi International Airport. The mother, Christina Ashton, can be seen stretching out her arms for an embrace, but then stops herself.

Elde said: "I was born in the UAE and this is my country. It's good to return. I don't have words to express my gratitude to the government for facilitating my return."
This is the latest in a string of reunions facilitated by the UAE government. On April 25, a couple stranded in South Africa for over a month was reunited with their two-year-old in Dubai. On April 24, a three-year-old Emirati flew back to the UAE after a 50-day wait in Saudi Arabia. On April 7, a seven-year old German girl was reunited with her parents in Abu Dhabi after she got stuck in her home country for a month.
