Fire at Dubai Duty Free warehouse put out, no injuries recorded

The quick-acting Dubai Civil Defence teams doused a fire that broke out in the issuing yard of the Dubai Duty Free warehouse in Umm Ramool around 2:00pm on Monday.
The civil defence teams from Al Rashidiya station swung into action after receiving information about the blaze at 2.02pm and carried out firefighting operation. They were able to control the fire by 2.16pm.
The cooling operations are on at the site.
The Dubai Duty Free said that all its employees were evacuated safely and in a timely manner and no injuries were reported during the incident. It thanked the emergency services teams for their "swift action" as they reached the scene quickly and extinguished the fire within minutes.
