Dubai's Global Village is inviting guests from across the UAE and beyond to come and experience the very best of India over this year's Diwali celebrations. The Indian festival of lights is one of the most popular and highly anticipated celebrations of the year and is always met with joy and delight by countless people all around the world.
Several attractions across the park will enrich the Diwali celebrations this weekend, with each set to offer unique experiences that will ensure the event is celebrated in extraordinary fashion. First and foremost, the India pavilion promises to be the centre of excitement. The park's largest pavilion is home to 240 shops selling authentic Indian handicrafts, artefacts, gold, delicacies, souvenirs, accessories, home décor, and more. The entire pavilion will be filled with the spirit of Diwali making the occasion even more special.
A host of Bollywood shows taking place during Season 25 will also add excitement this weekend. At the Main Stage, guests are sure to be enthralled by ‘Absolute Bollywood’, as 16 talented dancers perform to some of Bollywood’s biggest songs. The ‘Light, Camera, Action… Bollywood!’ show will also take guests on a fast-paced journey through some of the most loved Bollywood movie genres. Younger audiences will also be delighted with the 'Chhota Bheem' live show at the Kids’ Theatre, and the Bollywood Street Flashmob will hit the streets of Global Village to surprise and entertain guests.
Guests can also enjoy authentic Indian flavours to mark Diwali, with a wide selection of the country’s finest culinary delights and the extensive dining options at Global Village. Indian restaurants and kiosks including Grand BBQ, Punjabi Village, and Indian Chaat Bazaar, are sure to attract attention. Those looking to try something different can visit Kulfilicious, the brand-new desserts trolley offering delicious all-time favourite kulfi ice cream and sharbat, and Everything Paratha, one of the latest kiosks at Global Village with unique paratha flavours.
During Season 25, Global Village welcomes its guests daily from Sunday to Wednesday from 4pm until midnight, and Thursday, Friday and public holidays from 4pm until 1am. And for the first time, guests of families with young kids can now enjoy an afternoon at Global Village as the park starts welcoming guests from 2pm until 11pm. Mondays are dedicated for the entry of families and ladies only unless it's a public holiday. General admission tickets are available for Dh15 and can be purchased online.
