The Ras Al Khaimah Municipality has processed up to 97,000 transactions remotely in line with the ongoing preventive measures against Covid-19, and official has said.
Munther bin Shekar Al Zaabi, Director-General, RAK Municipality, said they have come up with new systems and online services to ease all the transactions. “The municipality spares no effort to provide all its services in a convenient way to ensure customers’ safety and bring them happiness,” he added.
The civic body has dedicated several WhatsApp numbers for customers to submit their applications and attach the documents required, he added.
“Up to 97,000 WhatsApp-based transactions have been processed since the launch of the service in March till October last year.”
He said the civic body had handled 19,000 planning transactions, along with 22,000 building management transactions, remotely.
“These are added to 17,000 transactions processed by the public health department, and 39,000 land transactions.”
Al Zaabi said that they are cooperating with the Emirates Post courier service for delivering all the transactions processed to the customers with no need for personal visits to the municipality.
