Sharjah City Municipality announced on Monday that it has suspended the issuance of Ramadan tent permits for this year.
These permits usually witness strong demand on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. The decision comes as part of the precautionary measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 in UAE.
The municipality has coordinated with Sharjah Islamic Affairs to suspend issuing permits for Iftar tents that are set up annually near mosques during Ramadan.
