I live in a small room in a villa with my wife and two children and do not have a tenancy contract. I intend to renew my family visa without having a tenancy contract as I cannot afford to obtain a new flat on tenancy. My landlord, a relative of mine, is also ready to support me.
Pursuant to your questions, we assume that you are resident of Dubai. An individual must have a Ejari tenancy contract in his name in order to avail visas for his family. Further, in the event your employer provides you accommodation as part of your remuneration you could sponsor visa for your family. In such case the Ejari contract may be in the name of your employer and the employer could issue to letter to the General Directorate of Residency Foreigners Affairs that the employer has provided you accommodation. Based on this, you can apply for family visas to your wife and children. You are encouraged to contact the General Directorate of Residency Foreigners Affairs for further advise.
