Motorists driving to work today on the last day before weekend starts are in for a treat. Many roads around Dubai remain clear as of 8.40am.
No major accidents that could cause congestion have been reported along thoroughfares inbound to Dubai.
However, Sharjah motorists on their way to Dubai will be facing rush hour levels of traffic along Dubai-Sharjah road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes if they wish to avoid being stuck in traffic.
Two minor accidents have been reported in Dubai so far according to updates from TrafficDXB. One occurred along Hessa Street. Motorists are advised on congestion buildup on that road.

Another minor accident took place in Al Barari just before Global Village. No congestion buildup has been reported.

Earlier, a burning lorry on Emirates Road has caused congestion for Sharjah motorists. According to the Sharjah Police the accident has already been cleared.
