Ajman Police respond to crises within six minutes

Ajman - Achievement has strengthened police leadership within the country.

The Ajman Police have achieved the lowest average response time to emergencies - six minutes - the best in the country so far.
Lieutenant-Colonel Hisham Abdullah Abu Shihab, director of operations department at the Ajman Police, said the achievement has strengthened police leadership within the country.
He attributed the success to the efforts made by the police at ensuring the arrival of patrols at accident or emergency sites within the target time. "The Ajman Police have made great efforts to identify 10 focus points for police patrols in different parts of the emirate. It has deployed 60 safety and security patrols, 40 traffic patrols, and 40 traffic control patrols - all who come together to achieve the response time indicator."
Lt-Col Abu Shihab added that the Ajman Police have also implemented a number of initiatives to reduce emergency response time. "We launched first responder patrols, equipped with radio wave devices to make audio calls on radio channels in various languages to alert the presence of police patrols. The Ajman Police also developed operating rooms using advanced technologies. Traffic and safety patrols are also equipped with enhanced communication to locate emergency reports with high accuracy. These efforts have contributed to reducing time while dealing with emergencies," he said.
