An air ambulance from the Air Wing Department at Abu Dhabi Police recently carried out five humanitarian missions and transported eight injured people to Al Mafraq Hospital, after providing them with the necessary medical care.
The department revealed that the ambulance crew handled the five notification calls received recently from the operations room with high professionalism.
In the first incident, the crew provided medical care to three young Emiratis aged between 14 and 17, who had sustained injuries in a traffic accident in Al Khatam.
In two separate cases, the air ambulance aircraft airlifted an Indian man after his vehicle overturned on the trucks road in Al Khazna area, and a 17-year-old South African boy who sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident in Suwaihan in Abu Dhabi.
Similarly, the air ambulance aircraft provided medical care and airlifted two Asians, aged 32 and 30 who sustained injuries when their car overturned on the highway in Tarif.
In the final mission, the crew airlift a third Asian who sustained injuries in a run-over accident in Al Ruwais.
The department uses the latest equipment, devices and mechanisms in the field of rescue and first aid to implement its ambulance and rescue services to patients and injured individuals.
