Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) to ensure passengers' convenience and beat the heat during scorching summer temperatures on Tuesday opened 28 out of 172 air-conditioned public bus shelters planned in the city.
The 172 environment-friendly bus stops, worth Dh16 million, are in pursuance of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, according to a top official.
