As part of the campaign, which runs from August 12-15, the RTA will be handing out a booklet titled The Road Travellers Guide, which includes a route map to provide motorists with information on distance and tips on safe driving, to travellers stopping at the Emarat Al Hassa service station.

The campaign will especially target long-distance travellers, such as those travelling from Dubai to Saudi Arabia.

Hussain Kazim, manager corporate communications at Emarat, welcomed the corporation’s participation in the campaign and said Emarat is committed to supporting customer-focussed activities, programmes and events.

“The corporation focusses on traffic awareness campaigns as they are instrumental in educating the motorist on the safety of not just the driver but also for passengers travelling in the vehicle,” he said. — Wam
