The Public Transport Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has enhanced the interface of their Wojhati journey planner smart application by incorporating new details about the journey at the moment of entering and saving the last five journeys planned in advance.

Eisa Al Hashemi, Director of Planning and Business Development of the agency, said the latest enhancement will enable the Wojhati program to automatically erase the particulars of the oldest journey once the user plans a sixth journey.

He said the new interface also displays bus timetables and bus stops, and enables accurate calculation of the fare without visiting the NOL portal. The initiative comes in the context of the RTA’s initiatives aimed at supporting the use of Wojhati system among public transport users from various community segments.

Al Hashemi said the new features include displaying the ‘Area Map’, which in turn, displays the routes passing by the area along with the ‘Route Map’. “Once the user inserts the Route Number, the entire route will be displayed as well as the sequence of stops along the route.”

Information on intercity services can also be accessed on the application. “Wojhati users can figure out the details of inter-city journeys to Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaima and Fujairah, including the duration and the fare of the journey, making journey planning a more integrated process.”
