According to Ahmad Hassan Mahboob, Director of RTA’s Customer Service Department, “Customers can buy and renew their seasonal parking cards of the A and B categories through RTA’s Call Centre”. To this end, customers have to submit their vehicle plate details and credit card numbers over the phone.
“Customers can select between having their cards sent to them through express delivery companies for a fee of Dh20, or collecting them personally from the Customer Service Centre in Deira or Al Barsha,” he added.
Customers will be able to change their Nol card identification codes or deactivate them through the Call Centre.
“Nol cardholders can now change or deactivate their identification codes through the automated answering service. They can change their card identification code after choosing the language option then pressing 1, 4 and 3 consecutively.”
“They can also deactivate their cards by choosing language then pressing 1, 4 and 3 consecutively.”
Customers can use this service without any need to talk to a call centre officer. If customers encounter any difficulty however, they will be automatically transferred to a specialist call centre officer.
Mahboob emphasised the RTA’s keenness on developing a call centre which goes beyond the ordinary communication service.
“It is envisaged as an effective tool that can provide a pool of services including the completion of several licensing transactions. Further services are under way and will be offered in the near future through the call centre.”
