Report says MAI-1 will be "far larger" than the previous smaller, open source models Microsoft had previously trained
According to a WABetaInfo report, the picture-in-picture mode, or PiP, allows users to view videos in a floating window overlayed on top of another window, effectively helping users to play videos hosted on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram within the app itself.
The feature was first introduced in the beta version for Android phones and has now made its way to the stable version. The update is rolled out via the Google Play Store and is part of WhatsApp version 2.18.280.
While tapping the link, the PiP mode makes the video played over the top half of the window, allowing the users to continue messaging in the chat while watching the video.
The video mode can be converted to full screen viewing and can be placed anywhere within the app itself.
With more than 1.5 million users the world over, the instant messaging app has been constantly rolling out new features to enhance user experience.
