Dubai - The qualifiers for the Dubai Padel Masters have been divided into two separate rounds.

The qualifying phase of the Dubai Padel Masters - a leg of the World Tour at the Nad Al Sheba (NAS) Sports Complex - takes off on October 22 at 6pm.
Javier Lopez and Mauricio Andrini have been seeded one, while Emilio Misas and Pedro Rios take the second rating when for the qualifying rounds from October 22-24. Dirk Jan and Benjamin Cassaigne are the third seeds, while Saeed Al Marri and Hassan Sharif will start as the fourth seeds in the three-day qualifying competition.
"We are very excited for this tournament as this is the first time that we are hosting such a major padel event in the UAE and in this part of the world. We are all set for this competition as we start welcoming some of the biggest names in padel over the next few days," said Ali Al Marzouqi, technical director, Dubai Padel Masters.
The top four pairs from the 21 pairs of players who had registered for the qualifying rounds of the Dubai Padel Masters have been given direct bye rounds along with another seven pairs, based on results and rankings from their previous tournaments.
The balance 10 pairs of players will be involved in a preliminary round of matches on Thursday (Oct 22) with the winners advancing to the next stages of qualifying on Friday (Oct 24) along with the ones who have been given a bye.
The UAE Padel Association (UAE PA) organised championship will see the eligible candidates emerge for the main draw from Sunday, after which action will continue soon after the Press conference for the main draw.
The qualifiers for the Dubai Padel Masters have been divided into two separate rounds. The first round was conducted at the Sanset Padel Club in Madrid last month and at the end of it eight international pairs in the men's and women's sections have advanced to the next stage.
While the four pairs of women from Madrid have made it directly into the main draw in Dubai, the four men's pairs from the Madrid qualifiers will go through a one-off match against the four best pairs at the end of the Dubai qualifiers on October 24.
