Basketball
Despite dominating the first and last quarters in the basketball competition, Jordan's Fuheis Youth Club couldn't secure the game on Wednesday as the Egyptian Sporting Sports Club team put up a spirited fight to retain the title it won at AWST 2018. The Egyptian team dashed Jordan's hopes of a win as it sailed through with a nail-biting 69 - 56 score to the delight of the audience.
Meanwhile, the last game on Wednesday saw Alergia's Le Groupement Sportif des Pétroliers jump back on the winner's wagon after losing to Tunisia's Al Amal Sportif and Al Watan Al Qabali on Tuesday. The Algerian team dominated the game against KSA's Elite Athletes Club and ended the game
78 - 54.
Volleyball
Alergia's Le Groupement Sportif des Pétroliers Club continued their triumphs on the volleyball court on Wednesday after securing 3 sets against UAE's Al Wasl, title holder of AWST 2018.
The first set saw both teams attempt to control the game. However, the Algerian team ended it in their favour, scoring 25 - 12. Buoyed by their dominance in the first set, the Algerian athletes kept up the pace in court with high spirits and went on to secure second set with 25 - 16 points. The third set saw more of Algerian mettle on display as they continued their winning streak to end with 25 - 9 at the final whistle. The AWST tournament concludes on February 12.
