Higher Education’s 3-0 win over Middle East United at Zayed Sports City firmly installs them as title favourites as they have now recorded six consecutive victories since the mid-year promotions and relegations.

Emirates ID moved into second spot thanks to a hard fought 2-1 win over ADIB 1. Khalid Al Khatheri and Mohamed Basam struck for Emirates ID with Hussain Khoury scoring a consolation for the bankers.

Al Foad Club’s tilt at the title suffered a major setback as they succumbed to defending champions Falcons A in a game that ended 1-3. Ibrahim Fathy, Mohamed Haboush and Laith Abu Roman fired home for Falcons A with Sanad Ahmed replying for Al Foad Club.

Adnoc Distribution leapfrogged Yalla Eat Healthy as a result of their 3-2 success in a mid-table clash that provided action and excitement aplenty.

The final encounter of the night was the highest scoring event of the evening as two sides in the lower reaches of the division went toe-to-toe for much of a match which ebbed and flowed from the outset. Al Noor Hospital eventually emerged as 6-4 winners against an Al Garbiya City side which has now slipped to tenth in the overall standings. Goalscorers were Mohammed Al Atrash, Waleed and Yassin for the medics with Abdullah Rageb (2), Sultan Rageb and Saeed Nasser responding for City. ADIB 1’s Nizar Hassan was the outstanding performer of the night as his team battled to contain an experienced Emirates ID outfit.
