The team of Raphael Saxod, Marc Charlet, Alan Salem and Soumaya Salem had to settle for runners-up place following the card count back.

One shot adrift, and in third place, was the foursome of Loraine Logan, Bill Logan, Margaret Breen and Tony Breen.

The overall team event was a closely fought contest with three quartets all within one shot of each other.

The day started with the inaugural captains tee shots in the high pressure environment on the first tee of the Majlis course. Moshe Kohli (club captain) and Glynis Hendry (ladies captain) had to hit their ‘drive ins’ in front of approximately 140 people including staff.

They both accepted the challenge with flying colours, Kohli dispatched his drive 281 yards a record distance on comparison with previous captains.
