Rafa Cabrera Bello said JA The Resort is a home away from home for him and his family.

JA The Resort Pro Group is offering a golf package in collaboration with local DMC Tour Operator partners Desert Gate and Desert Adventures.

JA The Resort are striving to be the 'Resort of Choice' for golfers visiting Dubai and despite the current Covid-19 challenges are targeting both international and local golfers with two newly launched initiatives.

They have just announced a JA The Resort Pro Group golf package in collaboration with local DMC Tour Operator partners Desert Gate and Desert Adventures, to attract international Golf Pros to bring groups of 7 amateurs to experience both the JA The Resort facilities as well as other golf courses in Dubai in a Hotel and Golf package stay.

The Lake View Hotel, overlooking the 9-hole, Par 35 Peter Harradine designed golf course, that stretches to 5863 yards and can be played in two loops of nine off different tees, will be the base for these groups with access to all the practice facilities, range, putting and chipping greens for the duration of the group's stay.

This 'first of its kind' for Dubai package, offers golf and accommodation for a Golf Pro along with 7 amateur golfers, with the Golf Pro having complimentary golf and accommodation.

William Harley-Fleming, Cluster General Manager, JA The Resort Jebel Ali Beach, Dubai commented, 'The city of Dubai and the UAE have handled the recent Covid-19 challenges in an exemplary fashion and we are confident that golfers will return to Dubai soon to enjoy a golf and tourism destination that is both safe and accessible."

Dubai now boasts 10 golf clubs, 12 golf courses and 198 grass golf holes which can be included in this Pro Group golf package: Arabian Ranches Golf Club; Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club; Dubai Hills Golf Club; Emirates Golf Club (Majlis and Faldo Courses); JA The Resort, Jebel Ali Beach; Jumeirah Golf Estates (Earth and Fire); The Address Montgomerie; The Els Club; The Track, Meydan and the Trump International Golf Club.

Rafa Cabrera Bello, JA Resorts Global Ambassador, currently 76th in the OWGR and winner of the 2012 Omega Dubai Desert Classic, said at the launch, "JA The Resort is a home away from home for me and my family. I have been coming to Dubai for 10 years and now I am a Dubai resident for over five years and have treated Dubai as my winter base for many years. This JA The Resort initiative is ideal for Pros to bring golf groups to JA The Resort and to Dubai. We look forward to welcoming these Pro Groups to JA The Resort."

For the local market JA The Resort have also launched their first event on the 2020 - 2021 JA Winter Season Series with the two day JA Winter Classic to be held on Tuesday, October 27 and Wednesday, October 28.

18 holes in a 1.30 pm shotgun start on Tuesday afternoon, followed by an overnight stay at JA The Resort and a nine-hole conclusion with a 7.30 am shotgun start on Wednesday morning in this 27 hole event open to all Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) members.

Stuart McMurdo, Director of Golf, JA The Resort Golf Course, commented, 'We have acknowledged the increased importance of the local golfer 12 months a year here in the UAE and look forward to continuing these 2 Day JA Classics during the golfing season.

'The weather is now kind for golf, the JA Resort Golf Course is in its usual tidy condition, the greens firm and fast and there is the traditional warm welcome from the JA The Resort Team,' concluded McMurdo.

Well worth a try in these claustrophobic days at home in the UAE and great value also!
