The Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club team won the 2020–21 UAE Ladies InterClub Challenge at The Els Club on Wednesday.
Having qualified as mini-league winners over four round robin matches during the season against Arabian Ranches GC, EGF, they once again triumphed in the Grand Final against fellow mini-league team winners from Jumeirah Golf Estates and Yas Links Abu Dhabi.
Dubai Creek scored 268 points from their best eight Stableford scores in the team and defended their title of 2019-2020.
Remarkably the top eight scores from both the champions and runners-up, Jumeirah Golf Estates were identical. Therefore, according to the Rules and Regulations of the UAE Ladies ICC League, a countback took place of the ninth best score, which saw Candice Wang (DCGYC) score the crucial 30 points to beat Jumeirah Golf Estates ninth score by two points to take home the trophy.
