Video: Strong winds blow off shopping centre roof

While parts of UAE and Oman were lashed by heavy winds and high waves with water entering inland in the aftermath of Cyclone Kyarr, heavy winds have not spared remote areas of Russia either.

Heavy gusts of wind have torn the roof off a shopping centre in the Siberian region of Kemerovo, a video of which has been shared online.

According to Russian media reports, wind speeds reached 100kmph on Tuesday, causing the roof of the shopping centre Jarmarka in the city of Leninsk-Kuznetsky to be destroyed. There were no casualties, reports said. A few cars nearby were damaged in the incident.
