A Kuwait Airways flight was damaged on Sunday after colliding with snow during landing at Lebanon's Rafiq Hariri International Airport in Beirut on Sunday.
According to a statement issued by the airline, Kuwait Airways clarified the reason behind the incident, giving an expected return date for the flight:

'Kuwait Airways wishes to clarify, that its Airbus plane (A320) operated for its flight (KU501) departed to Beirut on Sunday morning 21/4/2019 was hit by a sudden impact of a mass of snow passing. Thankfully the plane landed safely at Rafiq Hariri International Airport in Beirut."
"The plane is currently being repaired by the technical teams belonging to Kuwait Airways. The flight is expected to return from Beirut to Kuwait at 7:00 pm. All passengers will be taken to the hotel for rest.

"And we will provide all necessary care according to the company's policy to take care of its customers ..

Lebanon and surrounding countries were hit by a cyclone last week, accompanied with cold temperatures, gusts of snow and hail.
Late Sunday, Kuwait Airways tweeted that flight no. KU501 has been rescheduled as flight no KU502, which will depart Rafiq Hariri airport on Sunday (April 21) 9.45 pm (Beirut time).
