Several countries announced on Thursday that Friday, April 24, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

In Australia, the Australian National Imams Council shared a video message on its social media pages, announcing that Friday, April 24, would be the first day of the holy month. A detailed message was also shared on their official website.


On Thursday, Egypt announced that April 24 would be the first day of the holy month.

According to a tweet by Astronomy Center, Tunisia and Lebanon also confirmed that Friday will be the first day of Ramadan.
 

In Malaysia, the Keeper of the Ruler's Seal announced that Friday, April 24 will be the first day of the holy month. Singapore has made a similar announcement.

Muslims in Indonesia, too, will begin fasting for the holy month from Friday.
